There is a lot of talk tossed around about the titanium content of Driver Golf Components. Most aftermarket titanium heads may only have around 20 or 30% titanium. You may see numbers like 15-3-3-3: Common titanium alloy used in high strength ti wood faces. The numbers indicate 15% vanadium, 3% chromium, 3% tin, 3% aluminum and 76% titanium.
In most cases, you can't find out the true mixture of materials. When you can't, you must assume that the titanium content is very low. True Quality heads, such as Callaway, TaylorMade and Paragon, use 6-4 Titanium. That means that the head is 90% Titanium, 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium. Also the new Paragon Phantom uses a powder coat paint, and a beautiful Titanium Carbon Nitride (TiCN*) finish.

A 460 CC, 6-4 forged titanium head with our proprietary DKS (Dual Kick System) shaft.

With its two kick points that load at the top and release at impact, similar to a wrist cock or second lever in the swing, this shaft epitomizes the phrase, “explosive”. With a torque rating of 2.6 degrees the head stays rock solid stable at impact as well. This helps produce a tight dispersion rate that is immediately noticeable.
